Testing Assistant Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Testing Assistant Manager will be expected to run the day-to-day operations of the warehouse procedure, run the pre-shift meetings, keep inventory up to date and accurate, conduct safety trainings, fix broken machine cables, and train employees. You are expected to document and enter transfers into NetSuite, keep the department clean and organized, have a constant flow of product supplied to the testing area, and assign employees with tasks and area they will be working for the day, in an effort to support a quickly growing company and their quickly growing needs. The ideal candidate is a quick learner, has some electrical experience and knowledge, is passionate about problem-solving, takes initiative on projects and assignments, can use common power and hand tools, and communicates well with their team members. This position will report to Jeremy Pace, and work alongside every department in the warehouse, in order to achieve our company goals and fulfill our testing needs.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Run pre-shift meetings, safety meetings, and employee training
  • Debug common machine problems
  • Keep a good record of inventory i.e., accurate and up to date
  • Make cables (USB, Coax, Cigarette, Charger, AC, Anderson)
  • Fill in testing product when needed
  • Replace bad cables with made ones
  • Help prioritize product to test. “When certain product is low on availability, make it a priority to bring in more to be tested”
  • Keep track of employee time and attendance
  • Keep track of bin locations and transfers
  • Will work directly with all departments to ensure proper and effective communication is being maintained
  • In charge of department consumables, inventory, and ordering
  • Will help with Sanctuary testing, and ALL repairs when necessary

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • Basic understanding of circuits and current flow
  • Manager experience (3 years minimum)
  • Must work well on a team
  • Strong experience using Windows
  • Familiarity with NetSuite is a bonus
  • Comfortable with Microsoft office
  • Organized, clean, and deliberate
  • Cable making experience a plus. (USB, Coax, Cigarette, Anderson, Charging, AC)
  • Efficient worker, and task assigner
  • Knowledge of Lean training and production
  • Must be able to give level 1 disciplinary action to employees. “Verbal and written warnings”
  • Work with shipping and receiving
  • Can use a pallet jack
  • Must understand almost every aspect of operation in the warehouse, in order to make decisions that affect every role.
  • This Position does not offer the opportunity for remote work
