Built to charge large batteries quickly, this lithium / LFP / LiFePO4 charger will charge any lithium battery at a rate of 45 amps. Lion Energy has optimized this charger for use with our lithium iron phosphate batteries (LiFePO4 or LFP). Not recommended for charging lead acid or SLA batteries, it is too powerful. This charger is rated at 45 amps and will charge a Lion Energy UT 1300 105 Ah battery in 2.4 hours or our UT700 56 Ah in 1.3 hours. All 12 volt Lion Energy lithium batteries should be charged using a LiFePO4 compatible charger like this one. SLA chargers will reduce the performance and lifespan of the battery.

INFORMATION
FOR 12 VOLT LITHIUM BATTERIES
We highly recommend you use a LiFePO4 compatible charger. 12v chargers for lead acid batteries may work, but will decrease performance and lifespan of the battery.
TERMINAL CONNECTIONS
Cable connections make it easy to connect your charger to the battery. Install the ring terminals using the bolts on your terminals. Bolt black to your black terminal. Red to your red terminal. Do not short circuit.
SMART BMS COMMUNICATION
Charger will restart or "wake up" a Lion Energy BMS that has turned off a battery due to short circuit or excessive amp draw. Simply connect the charger to the battery to initiate a restart.
BATTERY CHARGE SPEED
Charges at a rate of 45 amps. To determine your charging speed take the amp hour rating of your battery and divide by 45. For example, a 105 amp hour battery (Ah) would charge in 2.3 hours.
LIFEPO4 BATTERIES CHARGE VOLTAGE
14.6 volts is recommended for Lion Energy Lithium (LiFePO4) batteries. This charger charges at 14.6 volts.

Lion Energy - Savanah 45 amp LiFePo4 Battery Charger
It charged two UT1300 batteries from basically 0 to 100% very quickly. I did not time it. There was no noticible heat coming off the charger which I have experienced from other standard battery chargers. For my particular application it would be nice it if were smaller, more compact. But, so far, so good. Thanks for making this product available. It's just what I needed.

This charges my Lion batteries just as it should. It charges them quickly and fully. I had a slight issue with my original item, but customer service remedied that after one email.

Used this charger and it performs well Would like to see a readout screen and additional battery connections, no auto shutdown so you rely on the battery to stop charging The charger otherwise is a great choice and rapidly charges all the batteries at once
